• Design the journal’s entire print identity.

MULTIMEDIA
• Design and maintain the journal’s website. Create and post all online content.
• Generate content for and manage the journal’s presence on popular social media platforms

• Record and produce any audio programming associated with the journal. For website use, podcasts, etc. (Third Thursday Poetry Series, Auburn Writers Conference, Spring Sessions with Southern Humanities Review, and other local literary events).

MENTORING
• Instruct creative writing graduate students—as well as SHR’s graduate and undergraduate interns—in professional editorial practices.
• Train and oversee the work of one program assistant per semester.
• Oversee activities of graduate student editorial positions: Assistant Copy Editor and Book Reviews Editor.
• Advisor, graduate student reading series.
ADMINISTRATIVE
• Create and collect contributor contracts.
• Oversee all journal finances and budgetary concerns.
• Manage general submissions and contest entries via CLMP’s online Submission Manager.
• Manage annual poetry prize (The Auburn Witness Poetry Prize Honoring Jake Adam York), plus SHR’s inaugural fiction and nonfiction contests in 2018.
• Manage a staff of approximately 20 editors of various ranks (genre editors, associate editors, assistant editors).
• Maintain domestic and international subscribers databases.
• Package and prepare each issue in-house for distribution to domestic and international
subscribers. Work extensively with campus mail services and local US Postal Service employees.
• Design and maintain an online store. Fulfill and process all orders.
• Organize and emcee readings and special events, including the journal’s annual spring event, Spring Sessions with Southern Humanities Review. Secure venues, host receptions, book catering, order and sell books, and oversee travel accommodations of visiting writers.
• Represent the journal at local, regional, and national events.
