Aaron Alford covers renewable fuels markets and industry news for Dow Jones Energy. He lives in the Brazos River Valley in Texas.

He has served on the mastheads of several publications, including a stint as Managing Editor of Southern Humanities Review at Auburn University. He holds a Ph.D. in English (nonfiction creative writing) from Texas Tech University, where he taught courses in creative writing, literature and first-year writing.

His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal climate and energy newsletter, Oxford American, Memoir, The Los Angeles Review, Bellingham Review​, and elsewhere.
