Aaron Alford earned a Ph.D. in English (creative writing: nonfiction) at Texas Tech University, where he taught courses in literature, creative writing, and first-year writing. He has served on the mastheads of several literary magazines, most recently as Managing Editor of Southern Humanities Review at Auburn University.
His writing has appeared in Oxford American, Memoir, Hobart Online, Bellingham Review, River Teeth, The Los Angeles Review, and elsewhere.
He currently works with the communications team at Texas A&M University's College of Architecture. He also teaches a class for Hullabaloo U, the university's first-year experience program.
He lives in Bryan, Texas, with his wife and two sons. He is a very stable genius.
