Aaron Alford's writing has appeared in Oxford American, Memoir, Hobart Online, Bellingham Review, River Teeth, The Los Angeles Review, and elsewhere.

He earned a Ph.D. in English (creative writing: nonfiction) at Texas Tech University, where he taught courses in literature, creative writing, and first-year writing. He served on the mastheads of several literary magazines, including a stint as Managing Editor of Southern Humanities Review at Auburn University.

He covers renewable fuels news and markets as a journalist for Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) by IHS Markit. Developing areas of coverage include Renewable Identification Number (RIN) markets, Canadian biofuels landscape, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

He lives in Bryan, Texas, with his wife and two sons.
